Transporters demand cut in PoL prices

Transporters on Tuesday have demanded drop in petroleum products and warned that the fares would be increased if otherwise. Petroleum prices were increased by Rs3 to 5 on Monday. The new petrol prices are Rs 65.26 per liter. OGRA will now get Rs 10 per liter under Petroleum Development Levy (PDL) and Rs 9 under general sales tax. According to the notification, on HOBC, Rs 14 will be charged under PDL and Rs 11.9 under sales tax. On kerosene oil Rs 6 will be charged under PDL and Rs 6.36 under sales tax. On light diesel Rs 3 will be charged under PDL and Rs 7.85 under sales tax. The new prices are applicable today.
